Mohabath is a Malayalam language TV serial that airs on the channel Asianet TV. The show is premiered on television from Monday to Friday for half an hour from 5 pm to 5:30 pm. Mohabath is a fictional drama that involves magic, mystery, and supernatural creatures. The story is set among royals and their courtiers. Aman is a Nawab (a royal) who is cursed by a jinn. Jinns are supernatural, invisible creatures that are capable of doing magic. Roshni is a Tawaif, a woman whose job is to entertain the royals with her art.

Aman’s mother is in supernatural danger, and for her to survive, Aman needs to marry an Ayaana, a woman with an angel heart. Roshni’s adoptive mother fakes her illness to push her to marry Aman for money. This makes Aman think of her as a gold digger, and he begins to hate her. He gives her the money to get married to him in order to save his mother. Roshni begins to develop feelings for him, but he only hates her. She also dies in the process of saving him, which leads to him realising his feelings for her. She is saved by Aman’s evil brother,, who now has a magical hold on her. Aman manages to relieve her from his brother’s hold and also realises his mother is plotting to become the queen of the jinns. She couldn’t kill Aman but succeeds with her other son. Aman touches a magical sword by mistake and becomes Jinnad Ke Badshah, the most powerful being of the Dark World. Aman’s ex-girlfriend enters with a baby who is Aman’s child.

His mother tries to sacrifice the baby to gain powers, but Aman stops her. Aman and Roshni overcome a rift between them and end up pregnant with twins. One of their child and Aman are killed by evil powers, and Roshni pawns the other child’s life for that of Aman’s. The Kaala Jinn wants to take her child for returning Aman to the land of the living. On discovering this, Aman fights to protect his wife and child. Many abductions and plots later, it is revealed that Aman and Roshni’s child is born to destroy the Kaala Jinn. Once this evil is warred off, another problem enters. Aman’s step-mother is an ex-ayaana and wants Roshni to give her the heart, but the angel-heart is not with her. Good powers help the couple deal with the step-mother, Roshni is pregnant, and all is good again. It is revealed at the end that the heart is with Aman and Roshni’s unborn baby.
