Malooty is a Malayalam television serial. This television series had been telecasted on Mazhavil Manorama. S.S. Lal had done the direction. On November 30, the first episode was aired. The character of Mallory had been played by none other than Niranjana, the serial fame baby. The most joyful, wonderful, and beautiful, time of life for a human being is for sure their childhood. Altogether, these days are the most unassuming, beautiful, and innocent. Sheer happiness and zeal, full of joy, mixed with a hint of sorrow and pain as well. Everything flows crystal clear at this age, with no hidden agenda, no shady intentions, or feelings of guilt whatsoever. But in the story of this television show childhood is a rare exception. All the joy and pride of her life had been followed by shame and an immense feeling of sorrow. Malooty is the only child of Harikrishnan and Maya Devi, who are prestigious and successful, but also vain and ambitious to their very core. They move in the opposite lanes of life. The one and only thing that binds both of them together had been the “thaali”, which is the sacred wedding chain. Their one and only daughter “Malooty” holds them in chains, like a burden on life. Malooty’s grandmother also things that she is nothing but an omen that had been cursed to this family. Amongst all of these people, Malooty lives a very lonely life, like an orphan; all alone. Her only womb of comfort and last hope is Clara, who is the housemaid. Hari and Maya, feeling suffocated with the thought that they cannot go on living like this, finally decides to resort to divorce.

Eventually, the court announces in its verdict; that Malooty can choose to live with either of her parents, but alternatively. In all this turmoil, she fails to receive that one thing that a child needs the most, which is love, care, and compassion, from both her parents. One day, accidently, all of her life changes, when she gets a missed call. A man by the name of “Manu John Kurishinkal” steps into her life. He keeps on calling her.
