Krishnathulasi is a Malayalam soap drama that was aired on Mazhavil Manorama. The show was broadcasted in the year 2017 from Monday to Friday and had a total of 295 episodes. Initially, the show was telecasted at 9:30 pm, but later, it was shifted to the time slot of 7 pm. The story revolves around two sisters Krishna and Tulasi, by showcasing their affection towards each other. Krishna is the eldest sister, and she is a tender-hearted girl and spends her time looking after her younger sister Tulasi, who is visually challenged. For Krishna, the topmost priority in her life is her family and would go on to any extent in protecting them.

Meanwhile, after the death of their parents, they became more devastated. Krishna sees her sister as the apple of her eyes by pampering and nurturing her. While Tulasi never took her blindness as a concern and proudly told everyone that her sister is her eyes. Their contented life turns into a nightmare because of the problems that arise in their peaceful life. 

The remaining episodes also portray the entry of Karthikeyan in the sisters' life, and disputes arise between them as both the sisters fall in love with the same man. The serial also creates a curiosity among the viewers with the questions such as who “will Karthikeyan choose as his life partner?” And “will the sisters be bonded together even after these disputes by sacrificing their love life for another?” The serial also received a massive TRP rating and was adored by the audience because of the heart touching sentiments.
