Amala, telecasted in Mazhavil Manorama, takes the audience on a journey to the life of Amala, a girl who is terribly deprived of love. The love she received from her father was the only driving force for her life. Amala is seen working like a servant maid in her father’s house where she faces terrible cruelties from her father’s wife. However, being the uncomplaining girl that she is, she takes all of it to herself and is excited by the love her father gives. But, fate plays the very tragic game with her leaving her father paralysed. Her step brother brings out the villain in him making life tragic for her. Meanwhile, she also loses all the good things and prosperity her father had intended to give her. Having lost her loved one also to someone else, she is seen married to a very rich man, who later, turns out to be the savior for Amala. However, even the joy she had is short lived. The suspected death of her husband leaves her along with his daughter in turmoil when the relatives take up the running of the house. The real owners of the house are seen in very pathetic and difficult situations which are indeed heart breaking for the audience.
