Kerala State Film Awards 2002 Malayalam AWARDS on YouTube Channel

Since 1969, the Kerala State Film Awards has been one of the most prestigious and most watched award shows in the state of Kerala. It is a day when the people of the entire state gather in front of their television sets to get an eyeful of all the amazing talents of their state perform on the wonderfully illuminated and extravagant platform of the award show. Their brightly lit faces very clearly express their pride as they accept the golden trophies for which they spent years of their lives working for!

It is a true glory to see such happiness in the colorfully decorated faces of the dancers as they spread their message of love and paint smiles on the faces of all the audiences. Every year, a newly experienced set of actors, actresses and other people belonging to the industry come together to form the jury. It, however, becomes tough as almost all the performances end up being on par with each other. It indeed took a lot of effort and thorough discussion to come up with the winner. The Kerala State Film Awards comes directly under the current affairs department of the government of Kerala and are now gaining support by the non-profit organisation “Kerala State Chalachitra Academy.” In 2002, the second best actor award was bagged by Jagathy Sreekumar for his film Nizhalkutha, Musa Madhavan directed by Adoor Gopalakrishnan and Lal Jose.

A variety of awards such as the Best Comedy Artist, Best Costume Design, Best Literature and much more!! Mammootty managed to make his family proud by yet again bagging the best actor award! Pranav Mohanlal who is a six-time Kerala State Award winner is clearly seen to have spread his shine over his family. The rocking star’s son has bagged the Award for the Best Child Artiste for his first movie “Punarjani”. His son Fahadh Faasil has won some awards and also managed to bag the Kerala State Film Award for his beautiful film “Artist”. J.C Daniel’s role performed by the late star Sukuram’s son Prithviraj Sukuram was deeply appreciated by both the critics and the audiences alike! These are just a few!
