Road Diaries is a show where five youngsters are chosen and allowed to take a road trip India. The adventure starts from Mumbai and ends in the Himalayas at the Indo-Tibet border. Presented by UTV Bindass, the show required the five individuals to travel the road less traveled, leaving everything that they were doing and hit the streets for an escapade of a lifetime. It was an opportunity to take part in a journey where you could do whatever you wanted to do on a road trip.

It also included traversing unknown destinations, meeting new people and discovering the beauty of India. These five travelers had to surrender all their possessions and board on the journey with a simple camping kit, tinned food, and some other vital items. Selected through a countrywide audition, each of the contestants had to submit a bucket list which comprised of the wishes they desired to fulfill if given a chance to go on a road trip. To tackle the cumbersome terrain, the five travelers provided with an SUV fitted with Dell Inspiron Laptops, which would aid them to navigate their way, upload photos, content, videos, memoirs and help document their journey. The Dell unit also served as a black box, a wish list catalog and a GPS enabled Map, which leads them through several routes to the decided destination. The map indicated the two activities that the group needed to perform each day, the distance and the time remaining, before which the travelers were required to reach the camping site.

Road Diaries is such one show that gave a whole new dimension to the word. The five strangers experienced a journey into the unidentified and realized what they had been missing in the humdrum of their day-to-day lives.
