MTV Webbed Season 2 is the second chapter to the MTV Webbed series which showcases what people face when they become victims of cyber-crimes. It is inspired by real-life events and shows how people suffer, when what they put up on the internet about themselves, gets in the hands of the wrong people. Each episode shows an acted version of a scandal that has taken place on the internet; with a different theme, characters, and plot. She comes on-screen in between the episode as well, giving the audience a brief break from the development of the stories, since they tend to leave one heavy-hearted and morose. There is no fixed star-cast for the show except for the host herself, who is more like a narrator in it. The show depicts a wide variety of incidents, every episode taking up a perspective to show the damage caused in people’s lives by the wrong-doings of criminals in the cyber world.

Not only do relationships suffer, but people lose their morale, their living, their loved-ones, and sometimes, their lives. One episode shows how when a young boy gets rejected by an older woman with whom he was in a relationship with, takes advantage of her daughter by luring her into his trap, just so he can take revenge from her mother. Another one talks about lives being taken away due to the frivolous acts of some kids in a hostel. A few episodes also has VJ Ran vijay acting in it so as to show the youth the damage it would cause in their lives if they took such cyber-crimes casually.

At the end of each episode, some expert from the world of social media is called upon so he can advise the audience on tackling the vices of the cyber world. He explains that it is good to be part of the internet-savvy world, but one must not befriend strangers, not knowing their expectations; for many innocents are tricked by people with wrong intentions.
