In this episode, we come to know that Monika Khanna's design is the brand behind in some of Delhi's most luxurious and creative spaces, known for her passion. The creation of her interior is elegant and stunning. Monika expertise also expands to sustainable designs and creative home.

Experience of Monika Khanna in designing an interior house in Delhi, "It is divided into two parts, the brief was that it was to be client's personal space or a place just to be relaxed, so ones you come in this area, you discover a swimming pool with a nice and beautiful wooden deck and as you go further down, it has an informal sitting area, which is also the sun lounge in the winter, she has a beautiful outdoor dining area." In this episode, we come to know that there are no bedrooms in the farmhouse instead it has a spa room, a quiet living room and a very soulful meditating room. As the client wanted to engage in activities that relax the mind, so it was done. She further says, "As our client wanted a place that felt is away from city life, greenery was the key factor in this project." Further adding to the soothing outdoors are the two water bodies, the swimming pool and the lily pond.

Monika Khanna says, "We kept the interior extremely simple so, that the exterior will be the focal point, and this is what we want that has come into shape. If you look at the bathrooms of this project, each one opens out to a private garden. Most of the windows here do not have curtains or blinds; it has motorised blinds which are just sheer blinds because we didn't feel the need for that width. The purpose being able to have a very private space with a lot of greenery around you." Apart from its unique planning the home combines various sources of inspiration, from materials to artefacts and design, every element here has been carefully curated by Monika. "One of the essential features in this project is the zinc roof that we have. Zinc is the only product that can last for about 100 years and did not catch rust. The same goes with the wood that we have used in this project. It is all reusable wood." says Monika.

This farmhouse is not only surrounded by nature all around but has also been designed to be sustainable over a period. This is how a home is made nature-friendly. The designer Monika says, "We are not using toxic products like lacer and polishes, we are using linseed oil to polish all our exteriors, even our paints are very low on VOC, green is the concept which is trending among people but in the end it is going to improve the quality our lives because if our environment is healthy only then you can have, a better quality of life." Sometimes art is in the simplest of details. There is no combination of sanitary ware and faucet that showcases this better than the terraces collection from the bold look of 'Kohler'.

Salil Sadanandan, MD of Kohler K&B India and Sub-Saharan Africa, says, "The Terrace collection is a European straight line product with a good design toilet and it has also got a wash basin with a great storage facility and vanity."
