The format of the game is same as its predecessor's. The presenter introduces the audiences to approximately twenty contestants. All of them then compete in the first round, called the Fastest Finger Test. The participants, who are all above eighteen years of age, are asked a question which demands them to arrange the answer in the expected chronology.

The one who manages to give the right answer in the least time is selected to sit on the 'hot seat,' which is in front of the emcee. Shatrughan Sinha would then ask him/her a set of fifteen questions. A right answer will earn him/her some money.

It is essential to answer at least five questions correctly to take away the minimum amount of ten thousand to home. If the person manages to respond to all the fifteen queries accurately, he/she will walk away with a grand amount of one crore rupees.

However, if he/she fails at any point after the tenth question, then he/she is liable to only three lakh and twenty thousand rupees. To help him/her, there are three lifelines which they can use as they please. Their names are Fifty: Fifty, Audience Poll, and Phone-a-Friend.

In Fifty: Fifty, out of the four options two wrong options will vanish making it easier for the player. Audiences sitting in the studio can help the participant if he/she chooses Audience Poll. The competitor can call a friend and ask for help via Phone-a-Friend. Rajesh  Singh became the first winner of the prize money of one crore rupees from the state of Uttar Pradesh. The show had its shares of controversies as after its end, Shatrughan Sinha claimed that the makers didn't pay and duped him and other personalities who visited the sets. Mahuaa TV Channel and Mahuaa Bangla Channel telecasted it. It premiered on the small screen on June 6, 2011.
