Aishwarya Sakhuja was aired on every Saturday at 9 pm. Star One associated with Fox Television to present this show. Violet Picture Company was also involved in presenting this show.
The entertainment quotient of the show is commendable. Auditions were done in over 17 states, and 64 individuals were selected out of the auditions. The best 24 were planned to entertain the viewers. Audience voting was not available for this show, and the contestants were purely judged by judges. Hello, Kaun? Pehchaan Kaun! was a contest of mimicry, and eight artists contested against each other every week by impersonating popular personalities, such as-
Aamir Khan, M.S. Dhoni, etc. Every week, three of the best contestants were chosen and the top three contestants chosen each week participated against each other in the end, in order to win the show and the title of “India’s best mimic” (as claimed in the show).
The show was judged by well-known comedy actors
Chunky Pandey and
Suresh Menon. The show is known as the first ever mimicry contest of the country. The contestants were assessed by the level of their resemblance to the star they were impersonating. A point of interest is that Navin Prabhakar upped the entertainment quotient by mimicking several celebrities in different episodes of the show.
Kamal Haasan, Pran, Johny Walker, etc. were some of the notable celebrities mimicked by him. The title of the show was inspired by the catchword Pehchaan Kaun, popularized by Navin himself in his show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.
