Official twitter handle of colors tv tweeted on 1st May 2020 that the show is holding its online auditions, and the participants can upload their audition clips on the Voot app. They have to fill their details about themselves while uploading the video. There is a three-minute time limit on the video you can upload. After the online auditions, when the COVID situation normalizes, they are going to select these candidates based on the online clips and the show will start after that.

The show is a weekend show that aired twice a week Saturday and Sunday for 1 hour. There are three age categories in the group one for kids, the second is for youth, and the third is for senior citizens. After the first round of interviews, six-plus contestants in the kids, and six- plus contestants in the senior citizen category will be selected. Eight plus contestants from youth will be chosen. These contestants had to go through various competitions to win the ultimate trophy of Dance Deewane. In the show, each week one contestant is eliminated after the show. At the end of the show, there are only a few of them who will be there to win the show. The show makers chose one winner from each category, and then they made one of them the ultimate winner.

In the show each week, some celebrity guests are also present to judge these contestants based on their dance performances. These celebrities are usually there to promote their upcoming movie. Sometimes a few ace choreographers are also going to be there in the show to motivate the contestants and to give them some tips.
