Get up and dance is a dance based fictional series that runs on Channel v. it first premiered on 22nd of February 2016. The story revolves around a city girl Niharika (Baby) who lives in Delhi. Baby aspires of becoming a dancing star but is held back by her family. Somehow she manages to become Mikhail Shah’s manager who is a famous choreographer from Goa. Baby admires Mikhail and secretly loves him. He is a cunning and arrogant person. The Baby is left heartbroken when she finds out the truth that Mikhail already has a girlfriend Nehtra. Nehtra is a mean and an arrogant person who knows how to take advantage of people and use them for her purposes she is also a two-timing girl.

Mikhail is making a dance based show about two lovers Ruhaan and Aneri. In which he decides to play the main lead and has trouble finding the female lead. Nehtra wants him to make her the lead to which he denies telling her that she dances in anger and not in passion and love. One day he sees Baby dancing and decides to make her the lead to which Baby says no because of her father, but eventually, she says yes for a month. Meanwhile, Nehtra and Mikhail break up because Mikhail realises that she is mean because she got jealous and did some stupid stuff. However one day Baby leaves or Delhi because her grandmother gets really sick. On her way, she meets with an accident and her legs paralyses, which now restricts her from dancing.

Mikhail promises her that he would make her dance within a month. Harry who is a very good friend of his thinks that this what he is doing will ruin his career and so he asks Baby to leave Mikhail alone hence she leaves again for Delhi. This time he doesn’t have a clue why she left and starts hating her, and also sometimes he misses her too. Later he finds out the truth and is left shocked. On the other side, Baby finally starts walking when her therapist shows her Mikhail's dance videos. This side, Harry and Nehtra starts planning against Baby. Though he hates Nehtra for using Mikhail, he combines with her to make plans against Baby.

What happens when Mikhail finds out about the trues intentions of his best friend and girlfriend? Will he forgive them? Will he and Baby reunite?
