This story highlights such a message through the lives of Amrita and Pritam. They have a contrasting nature, which sets them apart initially. But once they start spending quality time with each other, they develop a meaningful bond that binds them together forever.

To start the story, Amrita happily marries Karan and steps into the Shakuja family as her daughter-in-law. She is an optimistic person who finds goodness in even mundane things. But fate decides to shatter the family with the message of the demise of Karan while treating COVID patients. Amrita tries to hold them together with her soothing presence. But everything becomes worse when the family's two earning people lose their income. They started to suffer from financial instability. Also, Shakuja's family friend calls off the marriage between his son, Angad, and their daughter, Meera. He states that the difference in their social status now worsens the situation. They desperately look for money. That's when Pritam enters their house as a tenant with high pay. He seems to be a pessimist in his actions. Initially, the constant interference of the family in his life troubles him. But once he gets to know them personally, he starts to feel comfortable with them. He feels bad for Amrita, who bears the burden of her whole family. His pity soon changes to something indescribable. But he couldn't move forward as he has a painful past with his wife and son.

He portrays himself as someone in the illegal industry in the early episodes. But later on, the truth about him being an IPS officer gets revealed. He is passionate about performing his duties as an officer. When Amrita gives birth to the child, they become acquainted with each other. They find each other's presence addictive. Slowly, their lives bloom. Will he carry on with the life he desires or chooses the life he's been forced to? Will Amrita accept him for his truth? Well, that becomes the plot twist of the story.

Karan lost his life as a health warrior treating patients affected by COVID-19. Amrita, Karan's pregnant wife, hides her sadness and tries to lighten her family's mood. But the Sakhuja family's bad luck never ends, with Guneet and Angad losing their source of income. To make matters worse, Krishnakant Sehgal, the Sakhuja's family friend who got wealthy from his sanitizer business and had promised his daughter Meera's hand for Angad, breaks the alliance as they lower their status.
