Special Squad is an Indian crime drama series broadcasting on STAR ONE in November 2005. The serial’s story is based in the Mumbai Police Department. 'Bijesh Jayarajan' wrote this crime series and it was directed by Nand Kumar Kale and Satyam Tripathy. It was produced by Zarina Mehta, Deven Khote and 'Ronnie Screwvala'.

Special squad is an fictional elite investigative arm of Mumbai Police framed by commissioner of Mumbai Police. The contemporary, modern and incorruptible panel of investigating officers and forensic experts are led by Assistant Commissioner of Mumbai Police, Aryan Khanna (role played by Bhanu Uday).The show is a mixture of conclusion, detection, gritty subject matter focus and character-oriented drama. In this TV show, every episode starts with a new crime case. The TV series so far had fifty-two episodes telecasted. It came to an end after the culminated death of Aryan Khanna the ACP.

Later the show was re-run on many other subsidiary channel of STAR channels. This series cast popular TV star like Shaina Kaur, Aryan khanna. Aryan Khanna acted as a very polite and serious Police officer. Psychologist’s role was played by the beautiful and talented Shaina Kaur. She had good bonding with the hero Aryan Khanna. This show is among the best shows telecasted on STAR ONE and it is broadcast on weekends. Every episode begins with a new theory from start to end. In the end Mumbai Police finds the same clue and thus nabs the criminals. The other members of the squad are Neha Nayar, role played by Manava Naik, Mr. Jogi alias Papaji role played by Vineet Sabharwal, Dr. Deepika Ghosh role played by Gauri Pradhan Tejwani.
