Siyaasat is a periodic Indian drama series which is telecasted on The EPIC Channel. The show first aired on 20 November 2014. The show is an adaptation of the bestseller "The Twentieth Wife" by Indu Sundaresan. The Mughal political story revolves around interpersonal conflicts, grandeur, sabotage, power and the love story between Salim and Mehrunissa twentieth and final wife of Salim. Siyaasat is all about the Mughal political battle for the throne of Akbar entwined with the love story of Salim- Mehrunissa,
The true soulmates who fought against everything to become a together which altered the existing Mughal politics and just became the part of Indian history. The show with duration of 60 minutes has already reached 42 episodes. In an Emperor reigned land, Only the selected very few would have the power to influence decisions made by him. His son Prince Salim inherited Akbar's throne. Already married to Man Bai his first wife, Salim was on his way to marry Jagat Gosini to strengthen the Mughal relations with Rajputana by his second marriage.

Famous child artist Jannat Zubair Ruhani did the role of young Mehrunissa, and her performance was very much praised. The Role of Salim was done by Karanvir Sharma, but he is now being replaced by Sudhanshu Pandey. Sudhanshu Pandey is coming back to television after“Yeh Meri Life Hai” and “Kanyadaan.” which fetched him a lot of awards. He is also done good roles in films such as “Khiladi 420”, “Singh is King” and “Dus Kahaniyan” and also the international film with Jackie Chan named “The Myth”. He was also part of India's first boy band as Singer.
