Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai Take 2 is the season 2 of the popular Hindi sitcom. The sitcom is an abbreviation for situational comedy which is a popular genre of a television show. In this, the comedy arises from different situations that characters are in. The other staple quality of sitcom is that it isn’t like slapstick comedy which is more focused on movement rather than dialogue. Sitcom depends mostly on writing and dialogues that a character says.Â
The show focuses on the Sarabhai family, a rich family that lives in South Bombay. Their son gets married to Monisha, who comes from a middle-class family. The show presents her struggle in mingling with the rich family funnily. Most of the humor arises from the clash between different members of the Sarabhai family and Monisha. The show also shows the conflict between the two Sarabhai families who live opposite each other. The first season of the show ended its run in 2006 and used to air on Star One. The show has become a classic which is why the second season of the show was launched by the network which was called Take 2. It released on the popular OTT platform, Hotstar, and got good reviews and ratings.
Take 2 follow the story of Sarabhais after seven years. Their life hasn’t changed much except now Monisha and Sahil have a seven-year-old son called Aurnob. Roshes has finally found his love in Jasmine Mavani. He has also found television work. The family has now moved to a much larger penthouse and lives happily. The second season saw much of the cast reprise their role. The second season ended its run in 2017 but the network has announced that a third season is under production.
