‘Naagkanya’ is a fascinating and tantalizing story of vengeance and retribution which plots around an ‘Iccihadhari Naagin’ who is considered to be a person from the world of snakes. The beautiful parent-daughter relationship is one of the key concepts of this opera. Naag kanya is terrified and outraged when her parents are killed by a family to get hold of ‘Naagmani’. After Naagkanya’s parents are killed for the ‘Naagmani’, she commences or undertakes an errand to bring her parents back to life and inflict harm to the people who killed her parents. This shows the pure relationship of a daughter and her parents. But Drama on its high, to bring her parents back, isn’t that easy and simple. Hurdles need to be crossed to avenge the death of her parents. To bring her parents back to life, Naagkanya must bring back the Naagmani.

So, how does Naagkanya get the naagmani back? Is she able to avenge the death of the parents? In order to inflict harm to the people who killed her parents and to bring the Naagmani back to the world of snakes Naaglok, Naag kanya takes the form of a beautiful girl, and makes a trial to search for the people who killed her parents. But Indian Television without twists and turns, isn’t much appreciated. The high voltage drama and suspense of the opera continues to grab the attention of the viewers as Naag kanya’s quest for Naagmani is hindered, when things begin to change. Yes this disguised Ichaihadhari naagin who had sole fully come for revenge is sweeped off feet with the son of the people who killed her parents. It would be quite interesting to watch if Naagkanya sole fully takes her revenge or she sacrifices it for the safe of her love.
