He is a well-known businessman in the city who looks after his ancestral coffee plantation business. Madhuri, Raghav’s wife, is responsible and a very protective mother of Avi, their seven-year-old child. Although the story revolves around Avi, who loses her mother, Madhuri, at a very young age. Raghav feels for Madhuri and suffers a lot about Avi longing for his mother’s love. Parvati Gujral, Raghav’s mother, compels him to marry another girl for Avi’s yearning. Meri Gudiya officially telecasted its first episode on 16 December 2019.  The storyline revolves around the Gujral family. Raghvendra Gujral lives in Shimla with his wife, Madhuri, and daughter Avi. He manages an ancestral coffee plantation and is a successful businessman. Madhuri is the wife of Raghvendra.  Out of nowhere, a cult assembles in a nearby forest. Around the same time, Avi meets with a strange accident, which leads to a series of supernatural occurings. The serial introduces characters like Rudraksha, who wants to harm Avi for their own good. At the same time, Ratri, who likes Raghvendra, also wants to kill Avi. Being a mother, Madhuri feels the danger around her child and desperately tries to protect Avi.

Ratri partners up with Rudraksha to fulfill their aim of killing Avi. Rudraksha releases an evil entity, Adrika, to harm Avi. During all this, Madhuri faces an accident and gets severely injured, but somehow she is alive. Ratri could not handle this as Madhuri was the biggest roadblock in her way and went to hospital. Ratri killed Madhuri. After this, Avi and Raghvendra were heartbroken over the death of Madhuri. Avi was craving for her mother's presence. Evil people and darkness surrounded Avi to harm her. She even had mystical powers which secured her from the darkness and evil spirits. As the story continued, a new character, Pari, entered the serial. Pari helped the grandmother to safeguard Avi. Throughout Ratri and Raghvendra's wedding rituals, Rudraksha does not stop plotting to kill Avi.

Guruji and the grandmother of Avi constantly find ways to protect Avi. Finally, guruji encounters the spirit of Madhuri and helps her return to Avi. Madhuri enters her old body and stops the wedding ceremony of Raghvendra and Ratri. This unexpected situation brought more complexities to the serial. The return of Madhuri and the involvement of supernatural beings Roopasur, with the reference of Patal lok, is intriguing to watch. The serial presents a range of emotions like love, jealousy, hate, and care. With all the twists and turns, the serial is no less than a roller coaster ride for the viewers.
