MBA Sarpanch was a TV serial that aired on Doordarshan. The daily soap opera is based on the real-life Sarpanch who has done an MBA from a prestigious University and left her corporate job for the development of her village. The show was based on the real-life of Chhavi Rajavat. The show started in 2017. It aired from Monday to Friday at 7.30 pm. Each episode of the show was 25 to 30 minutes long. Chhavi is the one who left her high fight corporate job after doing MBA from Shri Balaji Society, Pune. She came to her village and started working towards the development of the village. The role of Chhavi is played by one of the ace television actresses named Ritu Khanna.

The show starts with the protagonist visiting her village in the vacations. She sees the condition of her village and is now moved by it. She lives in Soda, a village near Jaipur, Rajasthan. She is moved by the situation from her village and wants to do something about it. She wants to leave her job to devote her full time to the development of the village. She realizes that she can not do it while continuing her job so she had to leave her job to do so. Later, she decides to run for the position of head of the village council. She works hard to win the elections. After some time, the result of the elections was declared, and she won the elections. Now she is the Sarpanch(head of the village) of her village, Soda. She was the first person who had done an MBA and was elected as a Sarpanch. She is happy after she gets to know that she is the winner.
