It is clear from the name that this would be an inspirational show. Manzil means destination and the theme of the show was to inspire people that if they face a failure in life then it is not the end of the world and many more opportunities will knock the door of your life. It was an episodic serial, that is, it did not follow a continuous storyline and each week a new inspirational story with fresh actors was presented to the viewers. The show was launched in the year 2001 and was broadcasted every week on Saturday at 8.00 p.m. on Sahara One. The stories were also written by different writers which ensured that there was no repeatedness or monotony in the serial. Mostly youth related topics like failure in exams, failure in relationships, and failure in job etc were presented. Each episode would begin with the protagonist undergoing a state of depression due to a certain failure and the portrayal was very close to the reality and sometimes was inspired by real life events. Produced by UTV, the show helped Sahara One regain its losing edge by drastically increasing the TRPs.
