Maahi Ve delves into the lives of two Jagirdar families’ two generations entwined in emotions and pride that go deeper than it looks. Although their grandfather Thakur Vir Singh doesn’t approve of them because of some disputes with their late father, his son who had been kicked out of the house a long time ago, Sukho (Reeta Bhaduri), their grandmother is very fond of them.

The plot is largely centered in Ludhiana, a city at the heart of Punjab; however, another parallel trajectory of the tale traces itself in Mumbai, where they had formerly lived.
