Hamari Bahu Silk is a Hindi serial broadcast on the Zee TV channel. In this serial, a movie producer criticizes his lead actress, Natasha, for her ugly voice. He tell his manager to throw her out as she might me beautiful, but no one would ever listen to her voice, and his movie would be a flop. The producer also asks Natasha to leave the movie as her voice is way too manly. The producer refuses to let the shooting for this movie continue till the time they find a sweet voice for this movie. Pakhi, a girl with the sweetest voice, auditions for this role. Pakhi’s father is dead, and her brother is living at Pakhi’s house now. Pakhi lives with her mother, and her uncle is the new owner of this house. Pakhi attends many interviews every day to get a job. Pakhi gets the pamphlet for voice competition. She goes to this competition but she feels that the lines for this competition are very vulgar. She leaves the competition after saying her lines. But, Pakhi’s voice gets selected by the team. Pakhi’s uncle sells the house and Pakhi and her mother are left stranded. Pakhi has to accept this dubbing job, unwillingly. This way Pakhi becomes the new voice for Natasha.

When Pakhi meets Naksh for the first time, she lands him in jail. Pakhi starts her new job. Pakhi’s voice on Natasha becomes an instant success. Pakhi gets a rented room at Naksh’s grandmother’s house. Naksh is very irritated that the girl, who lands him into trouble every time they meet, is living with them. They try to lead each other in trouble in front of Naksh’s grandmother. Naksh tries his best to make his grandmother throw Pakhi out of their house. He manages to throw her out but very soon realizes his mistake. Naksh and Pakhi start becoming friends and help each other during times of need. Pakhi called the police at Natasha’s shooting sets, as her manager did not help her when Pakhi’s mother was in jail. She wants to nullify her contract of voice dubbing for Natasha. Pakhi does not like this job as this would harm her reputation. Natasha’s film producer still does not know that Pakhi has walked out of this contract of lending voice. Naksh also helps Pakhi return to his grandmother’s house.
