She is attached to Dev, who is suffering from a mental ailment. Whenever Dev is in pain, she understands his pain. It makes her wonder what she connects is with the man she sees in her images. Her family priest says that she was born for a particular cause. After seeing her kundalini, he confirms that she will be married into a wealthy household, away from the village, where she will be the savior of her husband. Her duty for life will be to protect her husband from evil. Even though Durga has not seen Dev yet, she knows that he is in terrible pain, with his life being under continuous threat.
