Many people are very passionate about travelling. They are born to travel. The prospect of seeing new places is always exciting for them .To explore the place, to know about the people, to learn about its traditions etc is something many of us are passionate about. This dream, unfortunately, is not fulfilled by many due to various reasons like family, work, financial matters etc .Zee TV thus came out with an initiative to help people fulfil their dream of exploring new places by starting a travel based show called “dream destination”.

Dream destination is an Indian show which was broadcasted on zee TV and zee news. It was produced by I-stylus production and directed by 'Avinash Singh' and 'Geetika Narang'. It showed the host travelling to different destinations within India and knowing about the history, culture, traditions, food, dressing style and various other things. The show had a unique approach as it did not just focus on the well-known or popular tourist places, but also showcased interior villages and towns. It was a visual treat for its viewers as they got to know about many locations in India that they never knew even existed. The concept of the show was mainly to connect its viewers with their roots. 

The show had a very earthy and charming touch to it which connected well with its fan. It was successful in capturing the real essence of India which was the main reason for starting this TV program. The host acts as a travel guide to the audience and explores the farthest corners of this country. It is a pleasure to watch as one can know about the minute details of every place, and can make a person knowledgeable about that place.

It helps it audience watching this show plan out which areas to visit, and which areas to pay more attention to when they visit that place in the future. It also creates a sense of pride within some viewers when their home town or village or state is shown on TV. They feel nostalgic and feel excited as they see the places they often visit, on screen. This was the main idea behind starting this show. It was to touch the hearts of people and make them feel connected to the show.
