Radha is a rich girl who has a mysterious past. She was a victim, abused by some groups. Aswini Bajaj found Radha lying fainted in his garden. Aswini asked Radha about her. But she refuses to tell him about her past life. She is an unmarried young woman. Later, she got married to Aswini. Aswini Bajaj is a businessman. Radha joined his office as his secretary. They both had a lovely male child. Aswini and the child mean the world to Radha. Jenny is the housekeeper in Aswini’s house. Anthony is also a member of Aswini’s home.

Deepak Dhawan works in Aswini's company. Radha is not happy about it, as he had some connections with Radha’s past. Jatin, a friend of Aswini and Radha is getting ready to marry Neelam. Neelam's father, Mr.Amrit Raj, didn't accept this proposal. But Radha helped Jatin in convincing Neelam’s dad. Deepak frequently meets Radha and asks her to love him. Radha didn’t like this at first. But later, she talks freely to him. Raja forces Deepak to marry Shagufta. Jay Kishan, aka JK, is a good friend of Radha. Raja arranges a woman, Nakma, to murder Aswini and offer her a sum of fifteen lakh rupees. Nakma and JK are lovers. Nakma is introduced with a fake name Sangeetha to Aswini. But, she was murdered by unknown people. Cops started investigating the case.

Deepak’s parents arranged marriage for Deepak with Shagufta. Radha had some inexplicable past. Radha knows Shagufta very well, but she did not want Aswini to know that. Dard, in Hindi, means pain. This serial depicts the emotional pain of Radha in her past and in the present.
