Some write books; other compose songs on them. Few more take a bold step forward and create an enriching motion picture, either as a TV serial or a movie. Bal Krishna is one among them.

Back when it premiered on March 14, 2016, Bal Krishna had taken an unconventional turn in telling the tale of Lord Krishna and his many doings. Unlike the usual tellings of the Hindu Deity, the show focused more on shedding light on the unexplored regions of his legacy, as well as the already popular stories.

The emphasis on the untold stories is perhaps the most appreciated part by the viewers of this BIG Magic Television serial. It, undoubtedly, shows how all of the writers have worked hard to collect many myths and legends of Bal Krishna and bring it forward to the viewers to see. It reflects on the fact how much of the legendary god’s story we do not know and are not aware.

Created by Siddarth Kumar Tewari, it had one season completed till date and received a positive critical response.

Shot and located in Mumbai, India, this Hindi Serial packs an episode in approximately 22 minutes. It’s a treat for all mythology lovers; it brings out a lot of unexplained mythos from the dark.

Young Lord Krishna, with a lot of cheek and notoriety, coupled with his heavenly and cosmic side narrates the story of his life and shows us many new untold stories in the beautiful setting of Gokul along with his adopted parents. The show’s appeal to his prankster side as well his model lover side adds all the more grace to it.

Bal Krishna is a must watch television show for all viewers of any age group, especially ardent devotees of Krishna, as even they can gain something out of this show. I can confidently say that it is one of BIG Magic’s best production so far. It is of an excellent standard and also sets a bar for the other shows to follow, in the Indian Mythological genre.
