Dexter has this unusual indeterminate accent different from the typical all-American family to which he belongs. The creator accredits this to Dexter's perception of viewing himself as a serious scientist. However, Dee Dee his over- zealous elder sister dodges all possible means of security and wreaks havoc once inside her brother's lab by playing with his inventions.

As a result, both the siblings get into fight and argument with each other. Seemingly dumb, Dee Dee often outwits Dexter but also saves him from any such dangers. Dexter on the other hand though annoyed by his big sister's unofficial infiltration into the lab for sheer enjoyment, loves and defends her in every possible manner.
