It is written and directed by Saurav Chakraborty. The series, Cartoon (2017) is the story of Aritra, a cartoonist who is in a live-in relationship with his girlfriend JiniaDasgupta. The couple moves into a new apartment and they experience absurd activities in the house. Aritra feels the existence of an unknown presence and thinks he suffers from hallucinations. In the meantime, Jinia, scared by the unusual happenings, consults a paranormal activist. Rathikantababu visits the couple to make a reading of the house energy and finds that they are being haunted by the spirit of a small girl.

The spirit being vicious, Rathikantababu advises the couple to leave the house. He ends up dead and Aritra ends up as the prime suspect. Jinia digs for the truth and finds out that the little girl in question was a cartoon addict and dies in the house they have been currently living in. Aritra, on the other hand, is haunted and mentally shaken by the haunting. He and Jinia decide to shift houses. Jinia learns through her investigation that the girl had died in an unfortunate accident when her parents had locked her up in the bathroom to teach her a lesson. The ending scene of the series is like the famous Grudge movie where water splashes out from the TV screen. The series ends with Aritra coming face to face with the spirit.
