This is a Bengali Indian language adaptation of the popular English quiz game reality show ‘Who wants to be a Millionaire?’ and the Hindi language version hosted by Superstar Amitabh Bachchan and known as ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. The second season was aired on Colors Bangla channel of the Vaicom18 Television Network from 16th July 2018 to 31st August 2018. It has 35 episodes with 35 different contestants from various backgrounds. The maximum prize money is ₹10,000,000. The season had two winners for the amount of ₹2,500,000, 6 winners for ₹1,250,000, five winners for ₹640,000, eight winners for ₹320,000, two winners for 160,000, seven winners for ₹10,000 and one winner for ₹5,000.

The total prize money won by all contestants throughout the season was ₹20,705,000. It is the only version of the game show after Marathi language in which the questions and answers are shown on the computer screens in local Bengali language without translating them in English. The format of the show is such that each contestant is allotted 45 seconds to answer the questions 1-5, 60 seconds for questions 6-10 and after reaching this level, the clock stops ticking for questions 11-15. To cope with the difficult questions, the participants are provided with the lifelines 50:50, Phone-a-Friend and Audience Poll.
