The show is a makeover of the Odia serial "Sindura Bindu" premiered on Zee Sarthak and has been well-recognized by the audience. The series had scored a TRP of 11.2 in June 2018. Bokul Kotha is a story of Bokul, an unfeminine girl who keeps an eye on all the need of family members and takecare of them. Later, a tragedy occurs and uncertainty occurs, she wedded Rishi, who has already declined the proposal of 40 women for marriage. Incipiently, Rishi does not assume Bokul as his wife due to her appearance and habits,

but after sometimes they came close to each other and increased the bond between them. They started their new relationship by being friends. Bokul, by her caring and innocent nature, wins the heart of her in-laws. Rishi started supporting Bokul to restart her studies and became an IPS officer, and he also is with Bokul in all her difficulties and also stands by her side to find out the murderer of her late father. The show was packed up on 1 February 2020 by gaining the fifth position in the TRP chart and was replaced by another show titled Phirki. Ushas Ray plays the role of Bokul rishi Roy. She is the wife/love of Rishi. Honey Bafna plays the role of Rishi Roy. She is the husband of Bokul. He always supports and loves Bokul.
