Simple Gogoi is a director who was born on 1 August 1976 in Jorhat, Assam, India. She is the second child of the late Purnima and Sarbeswar Gogoi. She received her degree from Jorhat's Jagannath Barooah College. She relocated to Russia in 1998 and attended the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts for courses in advertising, editing, and direction. She also studied language at the Russian People's Friendship University.
