The story revolves around a fictional town Bakultol in Assam. The people of Bakultol are friendly, civil, and warm towards each other. They are not aggressive to each other even when arguments arise. It is the main distinguishing characteristic of the people of this town. If any fights or disagreements occur in the village, the people consult each other to solve the matter. Other residents are readily available to help each other to solve affairs. Issues like disagreements between neighbors, friends, couple fights, or land ownership, are solved by everyone amongst them.

The residents of Bakultol, however busy they may be, will always prioritize solving a feud to maintain peace in the village. They have never been to a police station or a court for any feud because the residents have maintained their non-aggressive and non-hostile nature with each other. If the people face big issues that cannot be solved with mutual understanding, then they consult the elderly men of the village. The elderly and senior men of the village are wise and enlightened. They are insightful and have an accurate understanding of things. These men take the responsibility of solving big feuds by listening to both parties. The consultation of these elderly men is locally called Bakultolor Adalat or Bakultol’s Court.

The villagers take pride in maintaining their record of never visiting a police station for a quarrel or clash. Each episode has a new plot. Every episode brings out issues that are common and relatable to the audience. The show generally showcases the modern issues that society faces today. The show tries to send a message to the audience in a light-hearted way about awareness of vital affairs of the community.
