An incumbent Bhojpuri superstar, Manoj Tiwari was born to Lalita Devi and Chandra Deo Tiwari, on 1st of February, 1971. He is presently serving as the Member of Parliament by winning the 2014 general elections for BJP, in the North East Delhi.
He started his glorious career as a singer for more than a decade. One of his most famous song is ‘Jiyo re Bihar’ from the movie Gangs of Wasseypur. His first movie venture in Bhojpuri released in the year 2003 titled ‘Sasura Bada Paisa Wala’ that turned out to be a record setter with a box office collection of 3 Million US dollars (as reported by BBC). Some of the hit lists of Manoj ji include ‘Bandhan Toote Na’, ‘Daroga Babu’, ‘Ganga an Insaaf’, and many more. His first Hindi debut was ‘Deshdrohi’ that released in the year 2008. Apart from acting, he also tried his hands on directing movies like ‘Hello Darling’ that hit the theatres in the year 2010.
He has also hosted many reality shows like ‘Bharat Ki Shaan’, and ‘
Nehle Pe Dehla
’. He even participated in Big Boss 4 in the year 2010 that gained him popularity among the mass.
He also preserves an active sportsman spirit in him that has led him to lead the CCL team as captain named Bhojpuri dabanggs in 2013,and also bagging the winner’s cup in the same year.
