This show is based on the novel ‘The vampire diaries’ written by L.J. Smith. This show belongs to fantasy- horror- romance genre. The series started on ‘The CW’ on September 10, 2009. Leslie Morgenstein, Bob Levy, Kevin Williamson and Julie Plec were the executive producers of this show. The location in this story is‘Mystic Falls’, a fictional town in Virginia. This tale is about a girl named Elena Gilbert and the turns that take place in her life when she starts loving 162 years old vampire Stefan Salvatore.

The story takes, even more, twists and turns with the entry of Stefan’s brother Damon Salvatore. Following the series of events of the earlier season, Elena finds it hard to accept Damon’s death and takes drugs, to move on, but rather starts becoming violent because of its side effects. On seeing Elena’s condition, Alaric thinks of helping her to forget Damon. On the other hand, Damon and Bonnie discover that they are trapped in a time loop. They come to know that by discovering some truths from Damon’s past, they can find a chance to go back to the normal world.

A guy named Kai insists them that by preparing for the eclipse day they can get back to normal world. Bonnie and Damon return to the normal world and they meet Stefan. When Damon and Elena meet, they start recollecting their memories. Damon and Alaric tell him about Caroline’s feelings for him at a Thanksgiving party hosted by Elena and Caroline. After some situations in their lives, Caroline and Stefan start killing people at Whitmore college. Stefan gets his humanity back later. Jo and Alaric decide to get married and during their marriage, Kai comes there and kills Jo and Elena becomes unconscious.

Kai casts a spell on Elena and Bonnie due to which Elena will be unconscious when Bonnie is alive. The sixth season of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ aired between October 2, 2014, and May 14, 2015.
