The series revolves around the lives of two brothers, Sam (Padalecki) and Dean (Ackles) Winchester, and their daily struggles and adventures in fighting against supernatural forces that threaten to disturb and destruct the lives of people in different towns, under their father’s training.

The seventh season of Supernatural, consisting of 23 episodes, aired first on September 23, 2011, premiering with the episode “Meet the New Boss”. The season starts with angel Castiel ( Misha Collins Misha Collins is an English actor who has worked i >> Read More... ) declaring himself the new God, who goes about correcting some of the wrongs of this world, and in the process, unleashing newer horrors for the brothers to deal with, leaving Sam and Dean apprehensive and uncertain. In the meanwhile, Sam has a broken wall in his head, which causes hallucinations.

Bobby (Jim Weaver) worries that Dean is overworking himself, what with having to keep an eye on both Castiel and Sam. Eventually, with some help from the Horseman Death, Sam and Dean convince Castiel to send back all the souls to Purgatory. However, Castiel fails to return the souls of some of the older creatures, called the Leviathans. The brothers find themselves increasingly unable to use their old tricks and weapons against the Leviathans and are pushed to the breaking point.

With Castiel being of no help and with the loss of their dear friend Bobby, Sam and Dean have only each other to rely on. But even their support for each other is severely tested, as Sam’s memories of his time in Hell continue to haunt him and Dean struggles under the burden of a secret that threatens to rip them apart. To fight against the Leviathans and their sinister leader Dick Roman, Sam and Dean team up with Castiel, Meg, Crowley, the prophet Kevin Tran and Bobby Singer’s ghost.

But things start to go haywire when Dean destroys Bobby’s vengeful spirit. Dean and Castiel end up in Purgatory after killing Dick with a weapon designed by God. Crowley abducts Meg and Kevin, and with no one in the team left to help him, Sam stands alone in a crowd of chaos and madness. On 12 January 2012, this season won two People’s Choice Award, including one for the Best Network TV Drama.
