Sister Wives is an American Reality TV Show which first premiered on 26 September 2010 on the television network. The show is a documentary about the everyday life of a polygamist family. The family consists of a Kody Brown, the patriarch, his four wives and their eighteen children, all living under the same roof, also known as the Brown Family.

The series began when the family was residing in Lehi, Utah but the show has since moved out to Las Vegas Serial Story Coming Soon... >> Read More... , Nevada. The family agreed to this show in order to create awareness among the general public about polygamist families and try to combat the societal prejudices against such systems. The series did lead the Brown Family into prosecution.

Kody Brown contends that he hasn't done anything illegal as in the eyes of law, he is married to only one woman while the rest of his marriages are only spiritual unions. The show closely follows the lives of Kody Brown, a salesman, his wives Christine, Robyn, Meri and Janelle, and their eighteen children. In the first season, the courtship and marriage between Kody and Robyn Sullivan is being telecasted.

Robyn is the latest wife to enter the family in sixteen years. Before this, Kody was legally married to only Meri, his first wife. After their divorce, he legally married Robyn, to adopt her three children. The other two marriages with Christine and Janelle are considered to be only spiritual unions. As of now, Kody is married to Janelle for twenty-two years, Christine for twenty-one years, Meri for twenty-five years and Robyn for five years. Kody has only one child with Meri, a daughter named Mariah.

He has six children with Janelle: two daughters named Savanah and Madison and four sons named Hunter, Gabriel, Garrison and Logan. He also has six children with Christine: five daughters named, Mykelti, Truely, Ysabel, Aspyn and Gwendlyn, and also a son named Paedon. Before her marriage with Kody, she had three children as a result of a monogamous marriage: Breanna, Aurora and Dayton. She also has two kids with Kody, daughter Ariella and son Solomon.
