The final season of Mad Men hit the TV screens on 13th April on AMC. The first episode set in January 1969; Don goes to West Coast with his plan to save his marriage with Megan. Peggy, on the other hand, has issues with Lou Avery, her boss. Here Jon can convince the new marketing head of Butler Footwear from dropping SC&P. Roger’s daughter Margaret forgives him for all his wrong doings in past while he explores counterculture.

PETE has started to love Los Angeles, and Ted directs his all attention to work. Episode 2 sets in February 1969 where a conflict at SC&P erupts on the Valentine’s Day. Pete was winning the Southern Chevrolet association, on the other side, the other partners try to prove that they have got the approval from Chevy’s office. This team is led by Jim. Jim finds out that Joan works two jobs and he suggests her to leave her post of personnel head and work in an office of accounts. Lou demands a secretary replacement because she is helping Don outside the office. Joan appoints Dawn as the new secretary. Meanwhile, Sally lies to Don to give her leave as she has to go to a roommate’s family funeral, whereas, she goes to Manhattan for shopping. The third episodes set in April 1969, Don goes to LA ,and he accidently reveals to Megan that he is on leave from SC&P from the last year.

Megan gets angry and throws Don out of office after which he gets a new job at a rival firm. But he turns to Roger to give him his place and Roger asks him to come on Monday. Don ultimately gets his position back. On the other hand, Betty takes her son to a farm which goes disappointingly for mother and son. In the next episode, George tells Peter that Burger Chef is reviewing McCann. Roger, Jim, Pete and Lou get together to discuss the business with Burger Chef. Here, Mona asks Roger to bring Margaret back, but he denies by saying that Brooks should get her back and not him. Brook tries to do the same, but he ends up in jail. In the end, Don arrives at SC&P and start writing Burger Chef Tags. Next, Don asks Megan to let Stephanie stay with her, but Megan gets jealous as Stephanie is beautiful and knows all Don’s secrets. Megan writer Stephanie a cheque of $1000 and insists her to leave.

When Don comes to Megan’s place he gets upset as Stephanie has already left. Megan, there hosts a party, and she involves herself, her friend Amy and Don into a threesome. Next is June 1969, Bob pays a visit to SC&P with two more executives from Chevy. Bob, on a date, tells Joan about Buick and Chevy and proposes to her which she rejects. In April 1970 Peggy and Joan goes to attend a meeting at McCan Erikson wherein, Joan has been sexually harassed that leads to conflict between Joan and Peggy. Also, Peggy starts dating the brother-in-law of Johnny Mathis. Betty tells Don that she is completing her degree in psychology. SC&P collaborates with a famous actor Pima, who does commercials. Megan gets help from Marie while removing her belongings from Don’s apartment, but she ends up removing Don’s furniture. So, she asks Roger to pay the movers the money and has sex with him in the same apartment. Next, in May 1970 Don sells his place.

Due to a heated conversation between Don and Mathis, Don ends up firing Mathis. Sally prepares for a school trip and, suddenly Glen Bishop pays her a visit which tells her that he is going to Vietnam. He tries to make his move on Sally but Sally disillusions with her parents. Now, is June 1970, there are problems with SC&P, so Don makes a plan to handle the beneficial contracts against McCann’s portfolio by moving to California. On the other side, McCan’s CEO tells Roger, Joan, Don, Pete and Ted to celebrate their victory as absorption will happen. Pete gets back with his wife, Trudy. Don also tries hard to find Diana. Joan develops a new love interest.

Don and Roger go to make an announcement of their next move and; they try to do it positively, but employees leave with disappointment. In the 12th episode, Joan experiences mistreatment from the chauvinist executives of McCann. She complaints about this to Jim Hobart who in return asks her to buy $500.000 stake for 50 cents on a dollar in the company. On the other hand, Peggy experiences mistreatment as all her colleagues and subordinates leave her alone with her old office and move to McCann’s premises. Don Masters certain kind of presentation but a new employee catches everyone’s attention who masters in the same zone. Don leaves the office quietly and starts driving west. He goes to Diana’s home but finds Diana’s ex-husband with his new wife. Don continues his driving to the West. Next, Don’s car breaks down in Alva, Oklahoma and he struggles there with his issues.

Betty faints at her college; the doctors diagnose her with advanced lung cancer. Trudy gets a new career opportunity to which she agrees. The last episode sets in the fall of 1970.Don calls Sally, and she tells him about Betty’s critical condition. Don phones Betty to talk to her about keeping the children with him to which she refuses. He reunites with Stephanie and takes her to an Esalen. Richard and Joan also decide to start a new life together, but Richard is not happy with Joan’s ambition and leaves. Roger goes to tell Joan about his marriage plans with Marie and also asks for a large part of the estate for Joan’s son and him. Stephanie also leaves Don after she hears feedback regarding leaving her child with grandparents.

Don, after all, these troubles, calls Peggy and she asks him to come back to his home and job. She also tells him that McCann is ready to take him back and there is pending work regarding Coca-Cola account. Don tells Peggy about all his wrong doings and tells her that he has called her to bid her goodbye. Peggy shares her conversation with Don with Stan which turns into an argument and Stan reveals that he loves her. The season ends with changes in the lives of characters.

Trudy, Pete and Tammy start their new lives in Wichita. Joan starts a new business. Marie and Roger are in Paris on their honeymoon. Sally gets busy with housework; Betty reads behind her smoking a cigarette. Petty and Stan start embracing love for each other. Don meditates and smiles. The TV Show received a huge amount of appreciation. It has been critically acclaimed also. The show has also been nominated in many categories of big awards as well.
