“How I Met Your Mother” (HIMYM) is an American sitcom. It was aired from September 19, 2005, to March 31, 2014. The T.V series begins with Ted Mobsy, who narrates to his children the story of how he met his wife. The plot begins in 2030 with Ted recounting events that started in 2005 spanning for eight years until he finally met his wife. The T.V series consists of nine seasons, and it is only in the last phase of season 9, Ted is shown meeting his wife. The main plot revolves around five people.

The story follows Ted's encounters with various girls and the dissatisfaction associated. The story also closely follows the relationship between Ted and Robin. The show won nine EmmyAwards winning. How I Met Your Mother Season 4 began in September 2008 and ended on May 18, 2009. It consisted of 24 episodes. Pamela Fryman directed 22 episodes. Michael Shea and Rob Greenberg directed one each.

This season was nominated for the Emmy Award in Outstanding Comedy Series category. It begins with Stella accepting Ted’s proposal. Robin has got a job in Japan, but she returns to attend Ted’s wedding. Though Ted and Stella have agreed to get married, they still think about their past relationships. Unfortunately, the wedding gets cancelled on the final day as Stella leaves the Altar to reunite with her past relationship. Marshall and Lily move into a new apartment and debate whether to have a baby.

Ted also becomes aware of Barney’s feelings towards Robin. When Ted and Robin face problems to adjust with each other in the same apartment, they decide to be “Friends with benefits”. Barney does not like it and tries to solve their problems so that they would not continue. Robin who is unemployed faces a new issue. She has to find a job within seven days else she will be deported to Canada. Meanwhile, Ted meets his college girlfriend, and they get together. But his friends are against this and sabotage the relationship.

Ted becomes conscious that Lily has also previously interfered in his relationships. Ted loses his job and starts his own architecture company. Barney achieves his 200th conquest and confronts his childhood bully who challenged him. He thinks about what might be the future of his life which strengthens his feelings for Robin. In the season finale, Robin becomes aware of Barney’s feelings towards her to which she responds cautiously.
