The season 3 of Golbergs, like the previous season, has about 23 episodes showing how it’s like to be growing in a dysfunctional family. The story is set in the 1980s. The show aired from September 23, 2015 to May 18, 2016. The season starts with Barry, Erica, and Lainey planning a ‘Risky Business’ style party while Lainey’s father is not in the town. However, they put the plan on hold as Lainey crashes her father’s car- that leads to her staying with the Goldbergs, with Lainey living under Beverly as a surrogate daughter. Lainey starts to like the attention Beverly gives her, much to the surprise of Barry and Erica. The party happens nonetheless, but Beverly stops it later when things go out of hand. Beverly later apologizes to Lainey and explains why she was being overprotective.

On the other hand, Adam is trying to get used to his first long distance relationship (and the troubles that may be following) with his girlfriend Dana, who has moved to Seattle. In the further episode, Adam, as we see, is going through puberty and his voice is changing! Further, we see how he performs a solo with his changed voice. Murry seems to develop a passion for Weather Channel- on of the five channels on TV. He agrees to build a robot along with Adam. Adam, who is still struggling with his puberty, finds himself hating the swimming at the school. Barry joins the Social Awareness Club formed by Erica. In the seventh episode, we see that Barry wants to have a dog in his house and gets it too, but to his disappointment, the dog starts liking Murray.

We see that at one point, Adam and Barry decide to form a rap group from their inclination toward the Beastie Boys. The characters are trying our different things. In the final episodes, the situation gets even crazier when Beverly and Lainey gang up intending to demolish Barry’s favorite t-shirt. Meanwhile, Adam and his friends are concerned about ‘Hell Week,’ as the seniors’ pick-up on the new freshmen. The show ends with Everlyn Silver along with her class trying to figure out what they should put on the school’s schedule. The creator of the show is Adam F. Goldberg. The season received positive reviews from critics with gaining 4.4 out of 5 in rotten tomatoes. Adam F. Goldberg Productions, Sony Pictures Television, and Happy Madison Productions jointly produced this season of the show.
